Erica M. Hart (oh hey, that's me!) is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker primarily working in observational documentary. My video work often explores topics such as domestic life, natural health and wellness, mindfulness, motherhood, parenting, feminine identity,
pregnancy, childhood and family-life. I have an insatiable interest in my immediate surroundings, and the people therein. To me, the ordinary is extraordinary! I strive to produce work which can be enjoyed by the entire family, respecting the curiosity and maturity of children. Formerly the Director of
Production at The Mother Company, a multi-platform media company promoting
social and emotional learning for young children, I helped to grow brand awareness and to develop the "Ruby's Studio" line of children's television, books, apps, music, and other products. I am currently working as a freelance director, producer, editor, and videographer, working with amazing organizations such as BreastfeedLA and the LA County Perinatal Mental Health Task Force. I am in the midst of finishing post-production on "Kyler Gennardo", a documentary I shot and directed in Omaha, NE following an expectant mother on her
journey from pregnancy to motherhood.
I laugh quite loudly. I love hot sauce and good journalism.
